2026-2027 Student Registration Key Dates and Information
KEY DATES
Returning Students (Kdg-8th Grade)
March 16, 2026: Returning Student Registration for 2026-2027 opens
May 29, 2026: Submit PowerSchool Enrollment (online) for all returning students
July 16, 2026: Completion of residency verification (if required) for returning students to guarantee starting on the first day of school.
Families who have not completed all steps for registration (online submission and residency verification) by July 16, 2026, risk an intra-district transfer for their student due to overcrowding and/or a delayed start to the school year.
New Students (Kdg-8th Grade)
March 16, 2026: New Student Registration opens for Kindergarten – 8th Grade students
March 23, 2026: Registrar appointments open for residency verification
June 1, 2026 to June 4, 2026: Appointments are available at the schools to deliver enrollment documents to building secretaries
New Student Families who have not completed PowerSchool Enrollment and residency verification by July 29, 2026, risk a delayed start to the school year and/or possible school reassignment due to overcrowding.
August 4, 2026 and August 5, 2026: Complete enrollment by delivering enrollment documents to each child’s assigned school.
New Student Registration and Enrollment will be on-going but students who have not completed all steps of registration and enrollment by August 7, 2026, will not be cleared to start school on the first day of school, August 17, 2026.
REGISTRATION AND ENROLLMENT REMINDERS
- All residency verification for returning and new students will be completed by appointment with the Registrar at the District Office located at 12300 Greenwood Ave, Blue Island, IL, 60406. Residency verification is not completed at the school buildings. Registrar appointments will be available between 8:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Appointments can be made by calling 708-385-6800 or by emailing regparenthelp@district130.org
- New student enrollment includes providing the school with the student’s birth certificate, school transfer documents, and health documents. The collection of enrollment documents will occur at the student’s school and not at the Registrar’s office. Families can submit the student’s enrollment documents to the school by appointment with the school secretary or by attending one of the August enrollment days on August 4, 2026, and August 5, 2026.
