2024-2025 Student Registration Updates

Several changes have been made to the Cook County School District 130 student registration process!

Here are the highlights:

In-person registration is required ONLY for families who must provide residency verification, who are enrolling a new student, or who need in-person assistance to complete any step of the registration process. 

• A letter informing the parent/guardian of their residency status will be emailed after the student’s online registration is submitted in PowerSchool.  The email may be delivered to the Junk Folder depending on the email’s security settings.
• Residency verification can be completed at the Cook County District 130 office by appointment beginning in April 2024. Appointments for residency verification at the school sites can be scheduled for June 6, 2024 (12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.), June 7, 2024 (9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.), or August 6, 2024 (9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.).
• Residency attestation now requires documentation and verification of residency by BOTH the homeowner and the parent/guardian.
• We will use ParentSquare to ask parents/guardians to confirm enrollment status and to communicate whether your child will use provided bus transportation if your child is eligible.
• Walk-in late registration is limited to a single date, August 7, 2024, at the school sites from 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
• Students who have all steps of student registration completed by August 8, 2024 will learn of their child’s class assignment(s) in PowerSchool on August 14, 2024.

2024-2025 Returning Student (Pre-K - 8th Grade) Registration will open on March 27, 2024.

2024-2025 New Student (Kdg - 8th Grade) Registration will open on May 1, 2024.
