2025-2026 Student Registration Updates

Several changes have been made to the Cook County School District 130 student registration and enrollment process! 

Here are the highlights for students entering grades K-8 for the 2025-2026 academic year:

1.K-8 registration for both returning and new students have new required deadlines for completion that are earlier than in previous years.  

• Returning students entering grades PreK-8 for the 2025-2026 academic year must complete online registration through PowerSchool Access no later than June 4, 2025.
• Returning students entering grades PreK-8 for the 2025-2026 academic year who are required to complete residency verification must do so no later than July 25, 2025.
• New students entering grades K-8 for the 2025-2026 academic year must complete both online registration and residency verification no later than July 25, 2025.

2.All residency verification for returning and new students will be completed by appointment with the Registrar at the District Office located at 12300 Greenwood Ave, Blue Island, IL, 60406.  Residency verification will no longer be completed at the school buildings.  Registrar appointments will be available between April 1, 2025 to July 24, 2025.  Appointments can be made by calling 708-385-6800 or by emailing regparenthelp@district130.org.

3.New student enrollment includes providing the school with the student’s birth certificate, school transfer documents, and health documents.  The collection of enrollment documents will occur at the student’s school and not at the Registrar’s office.  Families can submit the student’s enrollment documents to the school by appointment with the school or by attending one of the enrollment days listed below:

• June 5, 2025 (12:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m.)
• June 6, 2025 (9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.)
• August 5, 2025 (12:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m.)
• August 6, 2025 (9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.)

4.Families who have not completed all steps for registration (online submission and residency verification) by July 25, 2025 risk an intra-district transfer for their student due to overcrowding and/or a delayed start to the school year.
