District Report Card

The Illinois State Board of Education has released the annual Illinois Report Card at www.illinoisreportcard.com. The Illinois School Report Card for Cook County School District 130 can be found here.

The Report Card contains school performance data from the 2023-2024 school year. Schools are more than test scores. They are a home away from home for our students and staff. Our schools focus not only on academic success, but also on mental health and social-emotional growth. We strive to forge strong bonds with our families and communities and to prepare our students to thrive in the next steps of their educational journey.

Highlights of the Cook County School District 130 Illinois Report Card include:

  • teacher retention rates have remained stable,
  • average student: teacher ratio is approximately (15:1) - 15 students to 1 teacher,
  • English Language Arts proficiency rates have returned to pre-pandemic levels, and
  • Mathematics proficiency rates are on pace to return to pre-pandemic levels.

These results reflect the investments the District has made in our:

  • participation in the Illinois Teacher Vacancy Pilot Program, aimed at providing funding for attracting, hiring, supporting, and retaining teachers,
  • implementation of the U.S. Department of Education mental health competitive grant, aimed at increasing the number of credentialed school-based mental health services providers to students in with demonstrated need,
  • adoption of updated supplemental programs for English Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies, and
  • refinement of the multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) framework, supporting both academic and social emotional, behavioral, and mental health (SEB-MH) well-being.

One component of the Illinois Report Card is the annual summative designation – a federally required accountability category. It identifies schools for support and describes how well our school is meeting the needs of all students based on eight indicators of performance.
