To begin the enrollment process, there are three (3) steps required to complete before a student can be scheduled into a classroom:
STEP #1: Complete Online REGISTRATION
Cook County School District 130 students in Kdg - 7th grade, who are currently enrolled during the 2023-2024 school year, can register online starting March 27, 2024. Parents should log into their PowerSchool Access account and select Student Registration on the left side of the computer screen. If you are unable to log into PowerSchool Access, please contact the main office of your child’s school for assistance.
When logged into PowerSchool Access, verify that all contact and other information for your child is up-to-date and make any changes as needed. You will also review and sign-off on required district forms and agreements.
** SPECIAL NOTE:

August Open Student Registration for Incomplete Returning Students or New Students
Open registration for returning and new students will be on August 6, 2024 (9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. by appointment) or on August 7, 2024 (12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. walk-in only) at each school.
Overcapacity Transfers
Please be informed of the possibility that your child may be transferred to another school within Cook County School District 130 due to maximum student enrollment in certain grade levels at your neighborhood school. The criterion for enrollment of students to another school is based on the date and time the student fully completed all steps of student registration. If it becomes necessary to transfer a student, the last fully enrolled student will be the first student moved to another school within Cook County School District 130.
STEP #2 – Returning Student Residency Verification at District Office
After you have registered your student(s) online, Cook County School District 130 will use the CLEAR Batch system to electronically review student residency. The CLEAR Batch system reviews public records to verify residency. ALL returning students will be reviewed using this system and you will receive notification of your residency status via email shortly after the submission of your child’s online registration.
If additional documentation for proof of residency is needed, households will be contacted within 5 business days by phone and/or email after submitting your child’s online registration. Parents MUST make a residency appointment to verify residency (please review the residency link below for requirements) at the Cook County School District 130 Office at 12300 Greenwood Ave., Blue Island, IL if requested.
Additional residency verification appointments will be available at the schools on Thursday, June 6, 2024 (12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.) and on Friday, June 7, 2024 (9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.) Appointments for June 6-7, 2024 will be made directly with the school office. Only one appointment is needed per family and the appointment can be made with any child’s school.
STEP #3: Respond to ParentSquare Texts and Emails
Starting late July through August 2024, you will receive texts and emails through ParentSquare seeking confirmation and information about your child. You will be required to respond to the ParentSquare messages to complete Step 3 of student registration and have your child scheduled for the 2024-2025 school year.
